Our goldsmith course trains the professional individual who follows the piece of jewellery throughout its life cycle: from market research to design and digital design, from the choice of the most suitable materials according to style and budget to production.
Finally, the Fashion Jewellery Coordinator collaborates in the marketing plan for the promotion of jewellery , including through digital channels.
subjects and workshops
Theoretical foundation
The course starts with the history of jewellery, its evolution and its materials: gems, metals and production processes. Our goldsmithing course aims to provide students with a solid preparation in the field of business organisation and analysis of product production costs. Much importance is then given to advertising and marketing skills, including digital.
Core workshops
Through the workshops, the student learns graphic design techniques, goldsmith design principles and prototyping methods with 3D printing. The goldsmith workshop focuses on goldsmith techniques such as wax modelling, fire enamels, surface finishes, engraving and gem setting.
Advanced workshops
The student learns to use the Rhinoceros prototyping software and its Rhinogold application in the spaces of the school's FabLab. They continue to specialise in goldsmith techniques with the experimental and research laboratory. Educational excursions (company visits, fairs, museums, exhibitions, seminars, etc.) complete the training course of the goldsmith school .
