The course in brief

  • Duration: Two years.
  • Hours:2,000 hours, of which 1,200 classroom hours and 800 hours of internship.
  • Qualification obtained: Senior Technician EQF (European Qualification Framework) Level 5.
  • Partners: Companies of the historic Footwear District of the Brenta Riviera.
  • Project work: during the second year, the students are engaged in the completion of a project, carried out in close collaboration with a company and presented during the final exam.

During the two-year period, students will have the chance to participate in fairs and industry events, as well as educational visits to companies in the industry.

The Fashion Shoes Coordinator is a professional individual specialised in the production of footwear  and new technologies for Made in Italy. They know the stages and techniques of processing, materials  and components  of footwear. They participate in the creation of the collection projects, develop the models  and prototypes  of the sample, collaborate in the industrialisation of the product and carry out their activities with the most innovative 2D and 3D CAD technologies and with rapid prototyping systems.

The skills of this individual are particularly sought after in the footwear sector  and can be applied in different business areas, such as the design office, product development, production, commercial and marketing areas.

SUBJECTS AND WORKSHOPS

Analysis and research

The course starts with the subjects oriented towards the development of the collection : Fashion trends and research, Fashion system and main processes, planning and Semiotics and sociology of fashion. In addition, the training course offers managerial skills: ample space is given to the study of  business organisation and management, marketing, English language and quality management.

Concept, design, development

From idea to design: the student learns to use Photoshop  and Illustrator  graphic design programs, and 2D and 3D  design  and prototyping programs. They also participate in cutting, hemming, assembly and finishing workshops.

Industrialisation and production

The student studies production processes and systems , machines and equipment and new production technologies. They also participate in the  product industrialisation workshop .
