the course in brief
- Duration: Two years.
- Hours: 2,000 hours, of which 1,200 classroom hours and 800 hours of internship.
- Qualification obtained: Senior Technician EQF (European Qualification Framework) Level 5.
- Partners: Fashion companies present throughout Italy, including luxury designer labels, brands and manufacturing industries
Project work: during the second year, the students are engaged in the completion of a project, carried out in close collaboration with a company and presented during the final exam.
During the two-year period, students will have the opportunity to participate in Fairs and Industry Events, educational visits to companies in the industry, thematic Workshops, and workshop activities carried out directly within the companies.
The Fashion Coordinator coordinates and supervises all phases of the design and production of the fashion collection.
Thanks to a mix of technical, managerial and digital skills, they work in the fashion world in different business roles: style office, product, 3D design and digital graphics, production, commercial and marketing, with an open mind to innovation.
They combine a passion for fashion with the knowledge of the development processes of a collection involving processing techniques, materials and "Manufacturing 4.0" technology.
They perform feasibility studies of prototypes with the use of the latest graphics software an 2D and 3D CAD systems for the virtual representation of the models.
They operate in the field of trends research and collection design with a view to digital innovation, circular economy and sustainability of fashion products.
They participate in the definition of the marketing plan with the ability to evaluate strategies and make use of new digital technologies for the promotion and advertising of the fashion product.
SUBJECTS AND WORKSHOPS
RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS
The course starts with the subjects oriented towards the development of the Fashion Trend and research collection, fashion system and innovations in the industry and study of collection accessories.
In addition, the Fashion course offers strategic and operational marketing and digital marketing skills.
Concept, design, development
From the initial concept to design, the student learns to use the graphic design programs Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and the 2D and 3D design and prototyping programs - 2D Lectra Modaris and Clo3D Virtual Fashion. They put into practice what they have learned with the Fashion Making workshop.
They develop a piece of Project Work in collaboration with the company where their internship has taken place.
industrialization and production
The student learns to define the production plan of the product through knowledge of both production techniques and machines, equipment and new production technologies related to the green economy and the sustainability of products and processes.
